Make up

We come, needing your help to move beyond the times we hurt one another, the times we willingly misunderstand, cherishing our differences, and the times we assume we know all there is to know about each other and turn away.

Then there are the times when we make private rules, only to publicly condemn anyone who fails to abide by them. We limit one another by labeling, interpreting, conditioning, insisting, resisting, defining.

From all this, Lord, we come, asking that you forgive us as we forgive those others. Be with us as we do so.
